About the Band
The Muskoka Concert band is based in the beautiful Muskoka region of Ontario, Canada. Our members represent the entire district, with most hailing from Huntsville, Bracebridge and Gravenhurst and all the small communities in between. Covering an area of almost 4,000 square kilometers is no easy feat, but our dedicated members perform in almost every corner of the disctrict over the course of a year.
The band is comprised of amateur and semi-professional musicians of all ages, from young adults to those with significantly more life experience. Band members include, among others, current and retired school teachers, engineers, accountants, pilots, students,....you name it, we've probably got it! Some have always called Muskoka home and for others, it has become home. A passion for music, good fun, and a strong sense of community keep members coming back year after year.
Our band's versatility delights audiences with a diverse repertoire of music of various genres, including classical, swing/big band, jazz, marches, broadway tunes, and contemporary pop and rock hits.
Our organization has something for everyone, whether you play an instrument or prefer to listen in the audience. Our family of musical ensembles also includes:

- an alternative for adults looking for a more relaxed pace, the Kingfisher Cottage Band - for adults of all ages and musical experience - learn from scratch, dust off an instrument you haven't played in years, or learn a new instrument
- Muskoka Big Band - offering more experienced players the opportunity to study and perform tunes from the swing era and beyond
The Muskoka Concert Band is a registered charity supporting itself with revenue earned through concert performance, corporate sponsorships and individual donations. We've accomplished a lot. We'd love to do more. With your help, we can!
