Sleigh Ride
Please join the Muskoka Concert Band at one or both of our annual Christmas concerts!
Again this year we are performing our one-hour Deck the Shelves concert sponsored by the Bracebridge Library on Saturday, December 20th at 2:00 pm. You'll hear many of your favourite popular Christmas songs as well as, of course, having the opportunity to sing along with the band! Admission is free (your donations are most welcome).
Our second, longer concert, Sleigh Ride, will be held Sunday, December 21st, at Gravenhurst United Church at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $20 (children 12 and under are free) and will be available at the door (cash only please). We will be playing lots of your favourites of the season, including Do You Hear What I Hear arranged by Jerry Nowak, a medley called Christmas Festival Overture created by Richard Saucedo that includes Gesu Bambino, Good King Wenceslas, and Joy to the World, a piece called Three Moods of Hannukah by Lennie Niehaus, and a wonderful collection called Together At Christmas that showcases some of the pop classics of Christmas like Winter Wonderland and Marshmallow World.
As usual, you will also have a chance to sing along with the band on some of your favourites like Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Hark the Herald Angels Sing and Jingle Bells. And, of course, we will play the title song of the concert....Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride!
